The Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce recently partnered with Trenton Business Week to present “The Role of Higher Education in Economic Development in the Capital City Region” on Thursday, October 22nd at the Trenton Country Club. The event featured a panel of local university presidents who discussed how the economic well-being of communities is directly connected to educational attainment, making degree completion and postsecondary training matters of social and civic consequence. Dr. Gregory G. Dell'Omo, President, Rider University; Dr. R. Barbara Gitenstein, President, The College of New Jersey; Dr. George A. Pruitt, President, Thomas Edison State College and Dr. Jianping Wang, President, Mercer County Community College participated in the panel. County Executive Brian Hughes made opening comments and served as moderator.
